Whaling

I heard an ancient whaler say

The story should go round

Of how the whaling trade was run

Before they all went underground

And proud he was he said

Of hunting kin of Moby Dick.

The mariner at his side demurred

Recounted how when the harpoon struck

The greatest creature in the wild

Cried like a child
